Success and Action as Nicholas Waters and Gas Honda Racing test at Philip Island

Nicholas Waters achieved some good results for the first day of testing at Philip Island for 2012.  The new CBR1000 Prostock set up by GAS Honda Racing is showing lots of promise for the upcoming season.

Nicholas had a good start on the bike, figuring out how the bike performed over a couple of sessions on old tyres.  After a few adjustments the team put the bike out again with the current control tyre and Nick and the bike were quicker again.

Encouraged by the results so far the team decided on another set of new tyres and to run a double race stint to see what else was needed.  Unfortuantely Nick and the bike jumped out of gear on turn 2 and the gravel wasn’t enough to slow them down.  The bike will be fine with a few minor repairs and Nicholas has seen the view of Bass Strait from new heights.

Nicholas and the team will be on track at Winton next Friday to consolidate the great results from the Philip Island test.

Nicholas would like to thank Garry, Geoff and the team at GAS Honda Racing for their hard work in preparing the bike for the test and is looking forward to a great season on the new Honda CBR1000.
